Alain Renk
Alain Renk est architecte, urbaniste, entrepreneur et chercheur. Il est l’un des rares professionnels à la fois impliqué dans l’urbanisme, l’innovation digitale et la recherche appliquée. Co-fondateur de l’association 7 Milliard d’Urbanistes (le réseau de l’urbanisme collaboratif), de l’agence d’architecture HOST et de la startup collaborative UFO, Alain est passionné par l’hybridation entre les mondes physiques et digitaux. Il est également conseillé pour la Ville Numérique et co-fondateur de Futuring Cities, une initiative de l’Institut Mines-Télécom. Le point commun entre toutes ces activités c’est l’avancement urbain et architecturale à travers des méthodes d’intelligence collective pour construire des villes contribuantes. Parmi ses principales réalisations : Unlimited Cities, Wikibuilding et Civic Hackathons (avec l’équipe la plus ouverte et passionnée pour co-créer des projets contributifs fous : Nicols Ancel, Maud Beau, Phil Brock, Cédric Dorgère, Klio Krajewska, Walter Simone, Sophie Uran et Grégoire Zabée).
Alain Renk is an architect, urban planner, entrepreneur, and researcher. He is one of the few professionals simultaneously involved in urban planning, digital innovation, and applied research. He is the co-founder of the non-profit organisation 7 billion Urbanists (Collaborative Urbanism Network), but also of the studio architectural HOST and of the civic-tech UFO. Alain is passionate about the hybridization between the physical and digital worlds. He is also a Smart Cities advisor and co-founder of the Futuring Cities Initiative for IMT (Institut Mines-Telecom). All his activities have a main focal point : the advancement of urbanism and architecture through Collective Intelligence methods for building Contributory Cities.
